Ireland v Wales Match Reports
Ireland scored four tries as they secured a 31-7 bonus-point victory over Wales in Dublin. The Welsh defence was heavily tested in a difficult first half for the visitors, which saw Dan Sheehan and James Lowe both cross for tries. Jack Crowley added the extras to give Ireland a commanding 17-0 half-time lead. Wales started the second half strongly and were awarded a penalty try after Tadhg Beirne illegally brought down a maul. The home side were forced to defend as Wales built some momentum, but ultimately failed to find a second try. After soaking up the pressure, Ireland scored a third try with Ciaran Frawley going under the posts in the 67th minute. Tadhg Beirne added a late try to wrap up a bonus-point win for Ireland.
