France scored seven tries to comprehensively defeat Wales 43-0 in the opening match of the Six Nations in Paris. The hosts lived up to their favourites tag scoring four tries in the first half and securing a bonus point. Wingers Théo Attissogbé and Louis Bielle-Biarrey scored two tries apiece and Thomas Ramos converted to give France a flawless 28-0 halftime lead. After the break, Wales came out fighting but failed to make an impression on the scoreboard. Instead, they conceded a fifth try when replacement hooker Julien Marchand scored from a driving maul in the 55th minute. Émilien Gailleton then touched down for France's sixth try within a minute of coming on as a replacement.
