France plundered eleven tries as they hammered Italy by a record 73-24 score in Rome. A fast-paced first half saw France earn a 4-try bonus-point by the half-hour mark, with tries from Mickael Guillard, Peato Mauvaka, Antoine Dupont and Paul Boudehent. Centres Tommaso Menoncello and Juan Ignacio Brex grabbed tries for the home side, but Leo Barre added a fifth for France who led 35-17 at the break. Gregory Alldritt powered over the line early in the second half to extend the visitors' lead. That lead grew even bigger when Louis Bielle-Biarrey and Antoine Dupont added two further tries for France. Paolo Garbisi gave the home supporters something to cheer when he scored Italy's third try in the 61st minute.
