Scotland v Ireland Match Reports
Ireland powered their way to an impressive 32-18 victory over Scotland at Murrayfield. A disjointed first-half, due to a lengthy injury stoppage, was dominated by Ireland. Midway through the half, a nasty head-on-head collision forced Darcy Graham to be stretchered off whilst Finn Russell also failed an HIA. Tries from Calvin Nash and Caelan Doris helped Ireland build a commanding 17-5 halftime lead. Duhan van de Merwe had dotted down at the very end of the half to give Scotland a foothold in the game. After the break, Blair Kinghorn struck a couple of penalty kicks to close the gap. But Scottish momentum was halted when James Lowe powered over the line to score Ireland's third try in the 54th minute. Jack Conan then crossed five minutes later to secure a 4-try bonus point for Ireland. Ben White scored Scotland's second try in the 76th minute but it was no more than a consolation at that point.
