France v England Match Reports

France retained their Six Nations crown with a dramatic last-gasp penalty from Thomas Ramos sealing a fast-paced and chaotic 48-46 victory over England in Paris. Louis Bielle-Biarrey opened the scoring for France before Tom Roebuck replied for England, only for Bielle-Biarrey to grab a second moments later. England then surged ahead through Cadan Murley, Ollie Chessum and Alex Coles, but a French penalty try and a yellow card against Ellis Genge reduced the visitors' lead to 27-24 at half-time. Bielle-Biarrey quickly completed his hat-trick after the break as France retook the lead, before Théo Attissogbe crossed to extend their advantage. Momentum swung again when Chessum intercepted a pass to score England's fifth try, while Marcus Smith added a sixth to put England back into a one point lead. Remarkably, Bielle-Biarrey struck again with his fourth try to restore France's lead. A nervy final ten minutes followed as the hosts lost Demba Bamba to the sin-bin while defending their narrow advantage. Tommy Freeman crossed in the 77th minute and Smith converted to give England a one-point lead. However, France were awarded a penalty in the closing moments and Thomas Ramos calmly slotted the kick to secure victory and the Six Nations title. A selection of match reports is listed below:
