Ireland v Wales Match Reports

Ireland kept their Six Nations title hopes alive with a hard-fought 27-17 victory over a spirited Wales side at the Aviva Stadium. Jacob Stockdale gave Ireland an early lead before Dan Edwards put Wales on the scoreboard with a penalty. Jack Crowley added Ireland's second try in the 37th minute after sustained pressure on the Wales defence. Rhys Carre showed impressive pace to score just before half-time and cut the hosts' lead to 12-10 at the break. Ireland started the second half strongly with Jack Conan crossing for their third try. James Botham then scored to give Wales hope as the match entered the final quarter with just two points separating the sides. A few minutes later Jamie Osborne went over for Ireland's fourth try and a bonus point, before Crowley kicked a late penalty to give the home side a 10-point cushion and seal the win.
